NO LONGER ‘LESS IS MORE’

Within the last couple of years ‘less is more’ and ‘minimalistic’ interiors have been the forefront of Interior Design. However going into 2019 decorative wallpapers, embellished fabrics and bold colours will be a key trend.  With a strong emphasis on passamenterie, decorative trimmings such as tassels, braids, bullion fringe, and tie-backs. Vibrant and contrasting colours will transform passamenterie into a current and modern trend for Spring Summer 2019.

A great example of an Interior Designers who is already achieving this is Nina Campbell, a world-renowned interior designer, known for her stylish interiors as well as for her collections of fabrics, wallpapers and accessories.

Integral to the Nina Campbell collections is a colour palette that has been developed with a decorator’s eye, and one that is constantly evolving so that new and existing designs work beautifully together.

Nina’s ‘Les Indiennes’ Autumn 2018 collection features printed and embroidered fabrics which were inspired by the 17th and 18th century French vogue for textile designs originally produced in East India and traded via the Compagnie des Indes. These were given the generic name of Les Indiennes. Nina updates her iconic palette of blues, aquas and corals by adding exciting new colour combinations which pair black with emerald, red with teal and by mixing aqua with taupe and ochre.
